A general description of the area to be included is "the northern portion of the Town of Sahuarita not currently within the Green Valley Fire District, plus several additional parcels in Pima County which adjoin the Town. The purpose of the Boundary Change Impact Statement is to describe the proposed boundary change, list the taxable properties and assessed valuation within the boundaries of the proposed change, provide an estimate of the change in tax rate and in property tax liability if the proposed change is made, and a list and explanation of the benefits that will result and the injuries that may result from the proposed change. At the hearing, the Board of Directors will consider the comments, if any, of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, hear those who appear for and against the proposed change, and determine whether the proposed change will promote the public health, comfort, convenience, necessity, or welfare.
