Green Valley Concert Band 2025-26 We are pleased to announce the Green Valley Concert Band's 2025- 2026 concert series at the Sahuarita District Auditorium, under the esteemed direction of our new Maestro, Dr. Matthew L. Williams. This season's themes "Holidays Around the World," "Fanfares, Overtures, and Beginnings, America," and "From Stage and Screen" have been thoughtfully selected to offer a culturally enriching experience for all attendees. Dr. Williams, originally from Union, Kentucky, has a substantial background in music education. He has taught band, music theory, music appreciation, and other courses in Kentucky. He holds a Bachelor of Music in horn performance and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Music in music education from Boston University, a Master of Music in wind conducting from the University of Louisville, and a Ph.D. in music education from Florida State University. Dr. Williams currently serves as coordinator and associate professor of music education at the University of Arizona, where he instructs both undergraduate and graduate music education courses and advises on graduate theses and dissertations. The Green Valley Concert Band has established itself as one of the Southwest's most esteemed all-volunteer concert bands.
